Kit Kat Power will be facing the USA as part of Team Sweden, two days before the Americans come to London
Team England have anounced the incredibly exciting news that they will be playing against Team USA, right here in London on Monday 3 September 2012!
And if that is not enough to get you jumping on your skates, London Rockin’ Rollers can announce that two of our very own skaters will be stepping on to the track with the USA whilst they are in Europe.
Jack Attack is on the roster for Team England, and Kit Kat Power [pictured right] will be skating for Team Sweden when they play a double header against the USA with Team Finland in Helsinki on 1 September 2012.
We asked Jack for her thoughts on being selected for such an important bout:
“[Team England] didn’t get to play USA at the Blood & Thunder World Cup so this is such an amazing opportunity to play against the best team in the world. Not only am I playing with some of my derby idols on Team England but I’m now playing against my American derby idols. Wow. I’m gonna train hard to do my country proud *taps chest proudly with fist*. So happy to be picked again!!”
Jack will be joined on the track by ex-Rockin’ Rollers The Mighty Mighty Bash and Frightning Bolt, along with other skaters from London Roller Girls, Leeds Roller Dolls and Rainy City Rollergirls.
We can’t reveal where in London the bout is yet but we can tell you that it is going to be held on the evening of Monday 3 September. So clear your diary and get ready to support your country at the most eagerly anticipated bout of the year.
