After hearing that Aerosmith were using rollergirls for their ‘Legendary Child’ video, it got us thinking about our favourite videos featuring derby skaters. Here’s the Aerosmith video featuring the LA Derby Dolls making a getaway on skates – we definitely think the FBI should employ more rollergirls for national security.
This one did the rounds a few months ago – nice upbeat song and made us very jealous of the weather and lovely smooth pavement in New Zealand. Can we all come to crash on your couches sometime, Pirate City rollers?
Montreal Roller Derby are already one of our favourite teams – we can’t resist a good dance move! – so we were overjoyed to find out they’re on film in a music video. Although we still slightly prefer their Neon Army promo video on Youtube…proving that derby skaters don’t only dress in spandex onesies for Gossip videos (but it helps).
And finally, our own video from earlier this year – London Rockin’ Rollers join Sheffield Steel Rollergirls and Nottingham’s Hellfire Harlots to dress up as KISS and terrorise the streets, trying to kill the Black Spiders!
