Our skaters get the warpaint out for Black Spiders’ new video, “KISS tried to kill me”

We’ve been loving the Black Spiders’ mojo after one of the band was spotted wearing a Rockin’ Rollers t-shirt on stage last year. Now, we’re in the video for their latest single! It’s inspired by a nightmare lead singer Spider had about KISS: “It was a strange dream but it made for a strong visual,” he says. “KISS would have been perfect serial killers with an alibi as a touring rock band during the 70’s, disposing of victims on each tour stop.”

After avoiding baseball thugs and a gang of vicious mime artists, Black Spiders finally fall foul of a crew of KISS-themed rollergirls, including a very rock and roll looking KayC-DC and Jan Halen alongside skaters from Sheffield Steel Rollergirls and Nottingham’s Hellfire Harlots…

The song has already found approval by KISS fans after someone posted it on the KISS Army official fansite. We just think the costumes are made of awesome, 70s style – who hasn’t wanted to join a rollerskating girl gang like in The Warriors?

The song is part of the album Sons of the North as well as a limited edition mini-album – check out Black Spiders’ Facebook page for more info.
