We have 'try-outs' for a 10 week beginners programme in the spring and autumn of each year. The programme is structured to teach skating skills as well as roller derby specific skills. The 'try outs' require basic skating skills and an informal interview, so don't worry if you're not an experienced skater.
In the meantime, we are recruiting NSO's (Non Skating Officials) and volunteers which help out at our bouts and fund-raisers amongst other things and are welcome to skate with us on our Sunday sessions. That way you get to meet the team and have a skate which gives you a bit of a head start when it comes to the 'try outs'.
First skate is free, after that it's £5 per session. Off skates attendance is free.
